The Indian Navy on Thursday released the underwater images of the remnants of Suvarna Thribhuja, the fishing vessel which went missing in the third week of December, 2018.

The Navy, with some help from fishermen, had located the wreckage of the fishing vessel to 35 km off Malvan coast in Maharashtra on May 3. The INS Nireekshak personnel had found the wreckage of the fishing boat using Side Scan SONAR technology.

A team of expert divers from Indian Navy had taken the photographs of the boat’s wreckage.

Suvarna Thribhuja, with seven fishermen on-board, had left Malpe harbour for deep sea fishing on Dec 15, 2018.

The last communication from the missing vessel was traced to Sindhudurg in Maharashtra.

There is no information about seven fishermen on-board the fishing vessel, leaving their families high and dry.
