Railway exam to be held in Kannada

The Railways, which has invited applications to fill 90,000 posts, has allowed the applicants to write the examination in regional languages, including Kannada.

The question papers will also be set in Kannada

The upper age limit has been relaxed for all categories and posts. The last date for filing applications will also be extended, the Railways stated.

Online applications have been invited for around 90,000 posts in Group C level I (erstwhile Group D) like track maintainer, pointsman, helper, gateman and porter. In Group C level II categories, posts like assistant loco pilots and technicians (fitter, crane driver, blacksmith and carpenter) will be filled.

The details are available at Railway Recruitment Boards websites. Candidates can file online application by visiting railway recruitment boards websites or http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/railwayboard.

The age limit is minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years, depending on category and posts.

The minimum qualification ranges from Class X pass to Engineering graduate, depending on the posts.
