Recycle plant for construction debris in Mysuru soon

For the first time in the state, the long-pending demand for a Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling Plant will be a reality soon in the city. The upcoming plant will be a solution to the menace of indiscriminate dumping of construction waste and debris by the roadsides and vacant lands across the city.

Thus, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), which accords importance to cleanliness to uphold the cultural beauty of the city of palaces, has notified and reserved 5 acres and guntas of land (under survey no 147 and 152) in Nachanahalli Kuppaluru village, for dumping of construction debris and demolition waste.

The MCC has sent a proposal to the government in this regard. According to MCC officials, a private company, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL and FS), has come forward to start the Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling Plant. Once the government approves the proposal, the plant will start functioning.

The MCC has issued a notice, stating that the people should dump construction debris only in the place reserved for the purpose. If it is violated, the MCC will slap a fine of Rs 5,000 on the building and vehicle owners, besides filing a criminal case against them.
