Sumalatha has already won polls: BSY

Independent candidate from Mandya, Sumalatha, has already won the Lok Sabha elections, state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa has said.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Yeddyurappa said that Chiedf Minister H D Kumaraswamy would now have to focus his attention on Tumakuru and Mysuru and forget Mandya.

Yeddyurappa also claimed that his son B Y Raghavendra will win Shimoga LS polls even if the whole state government campaings for the Congress-JD(S) coalition government.

Accusing the JD(S) of going to elections with "ill-gotten money," Yeddyurappa said that the Income Tax department conducted raids on the associates of chief minister in connection with charges of hoarding cash derived through corruption. Predicting that Mallikarjun Kharge and H D Deve Gowda would bite the dust at the hustings, Yeddyurappa hoped that BJP would win 22 seats in Karnataka.
