JOIN USIt was a tear-jerker of a day for two election ticket aspirants - former MLC Shashil Namoshi (BJP) and N Sampangi (Congress) - having been denied the chance by their parties to enter the fray.
Namoshi, also the party's co-spokesperson, had lobbied hard for the ticket from the Kalaburagi North constituency. He couldn’t control his emotion and started crying in front of mediapersons at his house here on Monday.
MLC B G Patil’s son Chandrakant Patil has been given the ticket from Kalaburagi North. Namoshi said the party had not recognised his work and had given to Chandrakant, whose father is already an MLC. He said it was surprising that the party was supporting family politics.
“I will decide on the future course of action after holding consultations with my supporters," he said.
Sampangi has been denied the ticket by his party, which chose S N Subbareddy.
