The Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials on Thursday took the woman allegedly involved in the CD scandal for spot inspection (mahajar) to her rented room in a multi-storey building in RT Nagar (near the CBI office) and to a flat in Malleswaram.

The officials started the mahajar at 10.20 am. They inspected the spot and collected details about the materials in her room.

They also asked her about the Rs 9 lakh found in the room during the SIT officials' search there, after former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi's complaint.

The woman reportedly showed them the clothes she wore when she made video calls to Jarkiholi and when she met him. The officials have taken possession of the materials and will send them to the forensic laboratory.

The officials questioned the building owner and his employees. They also collected details of the others who were staying in the building and asked them about people who visited her, what time the woman used to come and go and other details. The procedure in her room was over by 1.30 pm.

The woman was later taken to the flat in an apartment building which belongs to Jarkiholi.

The officials started the procedure there around 2 pm and it went on till 7 pm. They questioned the employees of the apartment building, including security guards.

The woman was later escorted to the place where she is staying at present.

SIT sources said she had been asked to appear before them again on Friday as there were a few more procedures to be completed.

Jarkiholi will appear before the SIT officials on Friday morning. He had earlier sought time to answer their questions. The former minister has reportedly contacted his legal advisers over the questions posed by the SIT.
