Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa recovers from coronavirus

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa was discharged from Manipal Hospital after testing negative for Covid-19. The CM had been admitted to the hospital on August 2 after he tested positive for the virus.

He had spent nine days in the hospital. Dr Manish Rai, the hospital’s director, on Monday in a statement said, “His vital parameters were stable. He is advised home quarantine.”

The CM will continue to be under self-quarantine for a few more days. “Thank you, everyone, for your wishes and prayers. I have been discharged and will be in self-quarantine," he tweeted. Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar told reporters, “Two days of quarantine will do as the CM is asymptomatic.”
