Surathkal police stepped up investigation into the alleged trafficking of a woman by rounding up suspects.
Alex (44) from Vamanjoor, and Praveen (40), a bus conductor from Pandeshwar, have been detained in the trafficking case, said Panambur ACP Srinivas Gowda R.
The suspects have been taken for questioning, in order to shed light on the whereabouts of Ananthesha Swamy from Bengaluru (the suspected racketeer who conducted the tantrik rituals), Gowda told DH when contacted.
