Training camp for Congress workers

Keeping the Lok Sabha elections in mind, the District Congress Committee will organise a training camp for its workers at Kodava Samaja in Madikeri and Mahila Samaja in Virajpet on February 16, District Congress Committee president Shivu Madappa said on Wednesday.

He told reporters that Dr Vijay Kumar, S A Ahmed, Ivan D'Souza and Suraj Hegde will be the resource persons. The party had organised many programmes under the directions of AICC. During the training, the workers will be briefed about the party's history, its achievements and the failures of the NDA-led Central government.

Senior leader T P Ramesh said the workers will be trained to highlight the achievements of the Congress party. A 'Janasamparka' campaign will be held after the camp to project the contributions of Congress party to the country. Leaders Appu Ravindra, V P Suresh and Razaq were present.
