General Bipin Rawat, the highest-ranking officer in the Indian Army, has kicked up a storm after saying that Badruddin Ajmal’s AIUDF has grown faster than the BJP.
Unlike previous Army chiefs, he has spoken often in public on matters related to security and politics. Twitter exploded with reactions after Gen. Rawat made the statement:
The only way BJP could have received traction in Meghalaya and Nagaland on its own is by raising the Bangladeshi bogey. Gen Rawat has helped them do exactly that.
