VA commits suicide

A village accountant at Athradi GP committed suicide by hanging herself at her house at Parkala on Tuesday.

According to the police, the deceased is identified as Vanitha, aged 34 years. The cause of her action is not known.

Vanitha’s husband had left for Dubai on July 28. She committed suicide after her children had gone to school.

Cattle theft: 1 more held

The CCB sleuths have arrested another man in connection with the theft of two cows from the house of Purushotham, at Moodushedde Bailu, in Kavoor police station jurisdiction.

The arrested is Nisaruddin alias Nisar alias Parivala Nisar (23), of Bajpe.

The earlier arrested is Imran alias Kutta Imran. They had stolen two cows by threatening Purushotham’s family on July 17.
