Car owner thrashes parking staff over Rs 60 parking fee in Delhi

A Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) car parking attendant was mercilessly beaten with a cricket bat by a car owner for allegedly demanding a parking fee in southwest Delhi on February 2.

The accused has been apprehended. The incident happened near the police post in Vasant Vihar. FIR has been registered into the matter under IPC section 308 at Vasant Vihar police station. The parking attendant Manoj asked him to pay a Rs 60 parking fee.

The victim, Vikas, sustained serious head injuries and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS hospital.
Manoj, the victim said, “After he started beating us, we ran but he caught hold of my co-staff and beat him badly, he is in ICU now. We’ve filed the complaint.”
