UP: Farmers elated after Central govt hikes sugarcane FRP

Farmers in UP are elated after the Central government has hiked the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane by Rs 15/quintal to Rs 305 per quintal for 2022-23 season.

Expressing happiness, a farmer said, “I am happy with this decision of the government as it will help us. In this government, we are getting the payment of sugarcane on time as compared to the previous governments.”
