<p>Berlin: German Chancellor <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/olaf-scholz">Olaf Scholz</a> said that a man who drove a car into a crowd of people in Munich cannot hope for leniency and must leave the country, news outlet <em>Focus</em> reported on Thursday.</p><p>"This perpetrator cannot hope for any leniency. He must be punished and he must leave the country," said Scholz according to the news outlet after some 28 people were injured when a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker drove a car into a crowd.</p><p>"If it was an attack, we must take consistent action against possible perpetrators with all means of justice," he said.</p>
