King Charles welcomed with 'Dhoom Machale' at Westminster Abbey, desi netizens react

The royal family of Britain led by King Charles III gathered for Commonwealth Day celebration on March 10, at Westminster Abbey. He was accompanied by Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The royals were welcomed with a stunning performance by Shree Muktajeeavan Swamibapa Pipe Band (SMSPB) from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, an Indian bagpipe band.

The melody played by band was the iconic Bollywood song Dhoom Machale from the movie Dhoom. The Dhoom film series have had some of the notable actors including Abhishek Bachchan, Hritik Roshan, John Abraham, Uday Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others.

The video of the performance was shared by the band on their official Instagram account and desi netizens could not keep calm.

"Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band London were honoured to perform at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in the esteemed presence of Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla," the caption read.

"A truly unforgettable moment celebrating unity, heritage, and culture, and follows a long list of performances by the band in front of royalty," it added.

The video since posted has garnered over 79k views and a flurry of comments.

"Dhol mixed with the drums and pipes! brilliant stuff boys!" a user commented.

"That's clearly Hritik Roshan disguised as Camilla," a second user humorously wrote.

"I think Dhoom 4 movie promotion that here," commented a third.

"Truly a genius song choice," "If this is real this is ICONIC," other comments read.

King Charles hailed the work of the Commonwealth in bringing countries together as he and Britain's senior royals gathered at London's Westminster Abbey for annual celebrations for the international organisation he leads.

Last year, both the 76-year-old king and his daughter-in-law Kate, the Princess of Wales, missed the Commonwealth Day service as they underwent treatment for cancer, but both were present for Monday's occasion, one of the major royal events of the year.
