YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed the hope that his party would sweep the election in Andhra Pradesh. "By God’s grace, we will have landslide victory," he told the media at his Lotus Pond residence here late on Thursday night, even as polling was continuing in the state.

Jagan said that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu went into frustration sensing defeat. "The TDP instigated violence at many places. They attacked our party workers. Chandrababu Naidu threatened the Chief Electoral Officer. All these show his frustration," he said. Accusing Naidu of wanting to cut down vote percentage by instigating violence, he pointed that in Mangalagiri, Nara Lokesh entered polling station with ten supporters, which was against the poll norms.

Jagan will now take a break from the hectic political schedule. "I will chill out," he said when asked about his plans till the counting on 23 May. He will not be campaigning for any party in any other state. When asked about the "return gift" offer by Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao Jagan said he had nothing to do with it.

Naidu who was supposed to address a press conference from Amaravati, cancelled it as polling was underway in 400 booths and was expected to cross midnight.
