Jessica Simpson gives birth to baby boy

Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson have welcomed a baby boy.

Their bundle of joy was born on Sunday in Los Angeles via scheduled C-section. They are already parents to an adorable daughter, 14-month-old Maxwell, reported Us magazine.

"Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family," Simpson's representative said.

The representative added that the baby boy's middle name honoured Eric's Swedish paternal grandfather, Knute Johnson.

Simpson got pregnant with her second child just seven months after Maxwell's arrival. They confirmed the pregnancy via Twitter on Christmas Day.

The 32-year-old has been in a relationship with NFL player Johnson since May 2010. The couple have been engaged since the November of that year. The marriage ceremony has been postponed as Simpson has been dealing with pregnancy and new-borns.
