Hold govt dept accountable, say AAP MLAs

During the two-day Delhi Assembly session, Aam Aadmi Party legislators demanded that the government agencies should submit an action taken report on the issues raised in the House.

AAP MLA Sahi Ram while urging the government to look into the case of inflated power bills in Tughlakabad slums said the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission chairperson needs to be questioned over corrupt practices of the power distribution companies.

Following his accusation, his party colleagues urged the Speaker to hold the government agencies accountable to the Assembly.

AAP legislator from Karol Bagh alleged the civic bodies have the habit of shifting the blame on to others, while raising the perennial issue of clogged sewer lines in his constituency.
