Hollywood star Michael Douglas, who bagged an Emmy award for his portrayal of Liberace in "Behind the Candelabra", thanked his estranged wife Catherine Zeta-Jones for supporting him amidst marital problems.

In August, it was claimed that Douglas and Zeta-Jones began living separately in May 2013. A representative for Zeta-Jones subsequently confirmed that they "are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage."

"I wanna thank my wife Catherine for her support and my kids Dylan and Carys," Douglas said while giving his acceptance speech.

When the audience asked about his son, Cameron, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence in prison on drug charges, he said, "I'm hoping that I'll be able and they'll allow me to see him soon."
