Employees have been protesting against the Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha since Monday seeking removal of irregular appointments being made at various institutions.

The protesting members on Tuesday set up an OPD outside the KIMS hospital to treat patients.

Dr Vinod Kumar, president of the employees association, said about 925 patients were treated free of charge at the OPD. About 1,500 employees have written to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy demanding an enquiry into the irregularities in the sangha and to supersede its administration, he added.

The management has called for an executive committee meeting on July 24 to discuss the matter, but the members have continued their protest.
