Time to allow same-sex marriage
In a recent move, the Delhi High Court was approached for granting marriage rights to LGBTQ+ people. This was opposed by the Central government through Solicitor General Tushar Mehta who remarked that both Indian law and culture do not recognise the concept of same-sex marriages. The ban on internet services in Assam and other states has become the new norm in the State’s attempt to muzzle dissent.

Uniform civil code: Give it a serious thought
The UCC is enshrined as one of the ultimate goals of the Constitution under Article 44. It is pertinent to note the historical background on UCC to understand the ongoing debate, often met with vociferous opposition and equally vociferous support.
