Belgian undergoes Coronary Angioplasty

The doctors at KMC Hospital in Mangaluru performed Coronary Angioplasty by radial route on a Belgian national.

Ann Marie Cardinalle was presented with a history of Unstable Angina.

After the coronary angioplasty, she was discharged on Saturday and was quite satisfied with the treatment she received.

Dr Padmanabh Kamath, Head of Cardiology Department and Professor in KMC, Mangaluru said, “We have a great potential to cater to all the international patients and future is bright for medical tourism, especially in Coastal region, with Mangaluru being the hub.”

Ann Marie Cardinalle said, “I came to KMC on the advice of a friend. Dr Padmanabh Kamath and his team acted quickly and professionally in treating me. All the staff at the hospital helped me to feel at ease.”

The team of doctors, who performed the surgery, comprised Dr Padmanabh Kamath, Prof R L Kamath, Dr M N Bhat, Dr N Pai, Dr Rajesh Bhat and Dr Manish Rai.
