Bus with Abhinandan’s painting draws appreciation

Unable to contain his admiration, a bus owner has gone ahead painting his city bus with a digital art portraying Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

The bus does not have any name on either side but the painting of Abhinandan Varthaman along with the words ‘We salute Indian Army.’

The painting of Abhinandan on the bus is being widely appreciated on social media, including Facebook and Twitter.

Lauding the move, Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian in his tweet said, “Namma Kudla is always one step ahead in its love for nation and the innovative ways of expressing it.”

BJP District General Secretary Capt Brijesh Chowta said “Namma Kudla.... respect towards the Forces, Kudos to this bus owner.”

MLA Vedavyasa Kamath post on his Facebook page had received highest ‘likes’ and ‘shares’.

In his post, Kamath said, “Indian soldier Abhinandan’s painting in Mangaluru bus.. Jai Hind.’

The Facebook page of Mangalore city declares, “Tribute paid to Indian Army by this Mangalore city bus is Epic!”

The bus (route number 14 D) operates between Kavoor and Mangaladevi via Nandigudde-Valencia-Kankanady- Mallikatte- Nanthoor-Yeyyadi.

The bus is owned by one Vikram Shetty. In the past Shetty had painted his bus in a manner to save Kambala.
