E-commerce websites Amazon and Flipkart are set to unveil a big shopping bonanza to mark the celebration of 72nd Independence Day. While Amazon is kicking off its 'Amazon Freedom Sale' from the midnight of August 9 till 11.59 on August 12, Flipkart is unveiling the 72-hour-long 'The Big Freedom Sale' from August 10 to 12. Both the companies are offering great deals on various products ranging from smartphones, televisions, fashion, home appliances, groceries and daily essentials.
Amazon.in is offering deals on over 20,000 deals from over 170 million products across categories that include smartphones, consumer electronics, fashion, large appliances, groceries and daily essentials, TVs and more during the three-day sale bonanza.
Customers can look forward to new launches and exciting deals across brands such as OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Samsung, Vivo, RealMe, Marks & Spencer, UCB, GAP, Shoppers Stop, Levis, Pantaloons, Sanyo, Puma, LG, Bajaj, Lego, Lakme, Nivea, Philips, JBL, Sony and many others. Amazon Echo devices, Fire TV stick and Kindle e-readers will be available at discounts on all days during the Freedom Sale, Amazon said in a statement.
Amazon is offering up to 40% off on mobile phones and accessories, up to 50% off on
consumer electronics, up to 50% off on daily essentials, 50-80% off on Amazon fashion, and up to 70% off on Home and Outdoors.
There will be new launches by top brands such as Samsung, Huawei, Honor, Calvin Klein Performance, Just F, Dyson, Bosch, Cello among others. There will be no-cost EMI options and deals on over 35 brands. GST benefits are available on select products. Amazon Prime members will get exclusive deals and faster delivery options than regular members.
"The Amazon Freedom Sale has been curated to offer everything customers are looking for this season and more! With new launches, great deals, extra cashback, no cost EMI and convenient exchange options, customers can look forward to a grand celebration on Amazon.in,” Manish Tiwary, Vice President - Category Management, Amazon India said.
During the Amazon Freedom Sale, customers can save more with an additional cashback of 10% when they pay using SBI Debit & Credit Cards. Millions of eligible customers can also enjoy EMI on using their Debit card from select banks, the company said.
The home-grown e-commerce giant Flipkart is offering new deals every 8 hours, change of prices every 8 hours, one deal every hour and deals at midnight till 2 am. Flipkart has also joined with Citibank credit card for 10% cashback.
Flipkart is also offering up to 70% off on appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and TVs. For electronics products like laptops and cameras, it is offering up to 80% off on brands such as Apple, Dell and Google. On fashion and accessories, the discount ranges between 40 and 80%. Similar discount is offered on kitchen and home use items across brands like Prestige, Bombay Dyeing and HomeTown among others.
