Located at Doddakallasandra on the Kanakapura Road, the foundation offers one year certificate programmes in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Hindustani music, Carnatic music, Indian painting and Indian sculpture.
Flexible timing
The minimum qualification to apply for any of these programmes, scheduled to begin from January 2011 with a flexible timing, is completion of Class X and a minimum of 17 years of age.
The courses will be conducted under the tutelage of dedicated masters, in the serene campus of Shankaraa Foundation.
Managing Trustee of the Foundation, RashmeHegde Gopi, said there will be two shorter classes on weekdays focusing on practicals while the longer classes during the weekends will focus on theory. There will be no screening for selecting the candidates.
