Iron trolley crashes on labourer; kills him instantly

The material was not loaded on the trolley properly

The trolley used to transport construction material toppled over a 42-year-old labourer and instantly crushed him.

Prabhu, hailing from Kalaburagi, was working at an under-construction site on 16th Cross in Chandra Layout on Saturday night. He was standing on the ground floor and sending construction material like sand gravel to the building's third floor on a temporary iron-plated carrier.

At 1 pm, the trolley broke since the material was not placed properly. It fell on Prabhu along with the materials loaded and instantly crushed him. Prabhu had stood beside a cement mixer and did not anticipate the tumbling trolley.

The Chandra Layout police have booked constructors Chakrappa and Shankar, besides building owner Mohammed Sohail in a case of death due to negligence.
