Speeding lorry mows down woman crossing road

Bengaluru, dhns: A 46-year-old woman was knocked down by a lorry while she was crossing a road on Wednesday morning in Electronic City.

The victim, Rajeshwari, was a resident of Rayasandra, and was working as a security guard with a private company in Electronic City, the police said. The police said she was on her way to work. At around 8.15 am she got down from the bus, and while she was crossing the
busy Hosur Road the speeding lorry knocked her down.

The passersby immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The Electronic City traffic police seized the lorry and took the driver to their custody.
