Dozens of large political hoardings have sprung up on Queen’s Road footpath in clear violation of rules.

The hoardings put up by Sagayapuram (ward No 60) corporator, V Elumalai, wishing the newly appointed KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, have fully blocked walkers’ way.

Women and senior citizens were seen bending under the hoardings to walk on the footpath.

Elumalai had this to say: “We put up the hoardings as Dinesh Gundu Rao has been appointed the KPCC president. We will remove them the next day.” Dinesh was not available for comment.

Sowmya Reddy, the Congress MLA from Jayanagar, had taken steps to remove the flex banners put up by her fans in the locality after she won the election.
