CM to lay foundation stone for road development

Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will lay foundation stone for the development of roads at a total cost of Rs 23.5 crore in Dharmasthala.

He told media persons that the road leading to Dharmasthala temple from Nethravathi Snanaghatta will be widened.

PWD Superintending Engineer B T Kantaraj said that Dharmasthala-Snanaghatta Road covering a stretch of 2.70 km will be developed as a four-lane road. The road will have 10 foot wide footpath, in addition to storm water drains. The road leading to bus depot will be widened to seven metres. Further, parking facilities will also be provided beside the road, he added.

Rathnagiri Bahubali Betta Road in Dharmasthala will be developed at a cost of Rs 1 crore. The road will be widened from present three metre to seven metre. The length of the road is 600 metre. The existing parking area will be renovated. All the trees on either side of the roads will be protected, he said.

Further, he said the Subrahmanya-Udupi State Highway stretch will be developed as a four-lane road at a cost of Rs 15 crore. The stretch will have footpath, box culverts and culverts, he added.
