"We have taken a stand that we will operate only to Tier-II cities. As  part of this strategy, we are focusing only on those cities while undertaking our route expansion plans," GoAir's General Manager (Sales) Praveen Nair told PTI.

GoAir operates from only two metros--Delhi and Mumbai-- and a majority of its operations are based from Tier II cities. The airline would continue to concentrate on providing better air connectivity to and from the smaller cities, Nair said.

As a part of this strategy, the airline would launch flight services form Pune, Lucknow and Leh from October 2, Nair said.

The airline plans to take the delivery of its Airbus 320 aircraft by this month, Nair said, adding the plane would be deployed to operate its proposed services.

GoAir expects to clock 20-25 per cent growth in the coming quarter, on the back of the festival season, for which the bookings have already started, Nair said.
