Judicial Magistrate Pragyan Paramita Mohapatra handed over the sentence to Prasant Das (23) and slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 fine for attacking Lisina Nadeza (35) and snatching away valuables from her in January last year.
According to prosecution, while Lisina was travelling by a bicycle in Sipasarubali locality near the beach, Das stabbed her and snatched away valuables including a mobile phone and cash.
