Bear dies in Gundlupet

The villagers informed forest department officials about the death of a five year old bear at the field of Shivarudrappa. On information, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Ravishankar, Manager Shivaramegowda and Assistant Conservator of Forests of Bandipur division, Shivashankarswamy, Range Forest Officer of Omkar Zone, Santoshkumar visited the spot. The postmortem was conducted by Dr Niranjan of Hediyala sub-division.

The cause of death would be known only after the postmortem report comes. Later, the carcass was cremated. The forest department has lodged a complaint.
