He cannot be lured: JD(S) leaders

It is unjust that people are making such allegations against a leader who is striving for the development of the region and has also remained loyal to the JD(S), it said.

Family loyalty

Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, president of the taluk unit K T Narayanaswamy said Bachegowda’s family has remained loyal to the party since the times of his father K P Pillappa. He would not quit the party for any reason, he added.

Bachegowda has faith in the ideals of the party. Also, he is not susceptible to any kind of offers that may easily come his way.

It is not possible for any party to get him to its side through means of greed and desire, Narayanaswamy asserted.

Unworthy

He said that legislators who shifted to the BJP under the ‘Operation Lotus’ have no trust in their party’s ideals.

“Such people are not even aware of the philosophy and importance of politics. They will never succeed in their political careers,” he said.

Leader of the party Venkatanarayanappa said political ideals are losing ground due to increasing corruption and poor quality of administration. “People will soon lose trust in democracy if this continues in this manner,” he warned.

Venkatanarayanappa also demanded that the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa resign immediately since ‘he is indulging in cheap politics by trying to lure politicians towards his party.’

Leaders of JD(S) were present during the press meet.
