Fashion, mixed with various  fun elements like music and dance, made this event an extravaganza setting the tone for the festive season that is to hit the City soon.

Titled f4, the concept of this special event was a heady fusion of four potent elements that make for the perfect evening — fashion, fun, food and fiesta. “It is a fabulous occasion to celebrate all the good things in life. And there isn’t a better way to raise a toast to this spirit than with an evening of fun, food fashion and fiesta,” said Hament Rai, GM, Grand Mercure.

With all the trappings of a memorable evening, f4 was attended by the choicest names from the world of fashion and glamour. At the heart of the event was a fashion show choreographed by Rahul Dev Shetty with models strutting exclusive designs from Ramesh
Dembla and Krishna Dembla.

In the first part of the show, the models showcased glamorous saris in a variety of colours like blue, orange and red. While the garment is as traditional as can be, it was given a Western twist with sequins, backless cholis and shimmery pallus. This was followed by the models lighting up the ramp in spectacular evening gowns and fashionable suits. As the crowd cheered, it was time for the designer to take a bow and he did it in complete style.

But fashion was not the only thing on the plate as the crowd was frequently asked some prize-winning questions by the hosts. They also indulged in some minor games to spice up the evening. Especially funny was the game played by couples where the ladies gave their significant others a make-over but not the kind they would stick to.

The game was thoroughly enjoyed not only by the participants but also by the spectators. The evening went on to become even peppier when Jyotsna Navandar of Indian Idol fame entertained every one present with melodious numbers that set the mood for the good times to come.

The latter part of the evening had guests grooving to a heady blend of Indian groove and club music mixed by DJ Lloyd to create an exhilarating high building up to the fabulous evening. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and they would surely remember this night of fun and fashion.
