The seven labourers, who received minor injuries, had been admitted to Gundlupet Government Hospital, Chamarajanagar Superintendent of Police B S Prakash told PTI.
The deceased were natives of Raghavpura village in Gundlupet taluk.
"The cause of the mishap is still to be ascertained" he said adding a hunt was on to nab the lorry driver who is absconding.
