<p>In view of the construction of an underground reach of Metro train between Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium on Cubbon Road and Majestic, the traffic police have decided to close this road.<br /><br />However, the police have identified alternative routes to ensure smooth vehicular movement. <br /><br />The vehicles will move on the alternative road created through Central College Ground in front of the Court Complex. <br /><br />Since the width of the road is limited, no heavy vehicles, including BMTC buses, can ply along it. <br /><br />Alternate routes<br /><br />- Buses moving from K R Circle towards City Court will have to proceed to Maharani College, take left turn down the ramp and reach SBM junction using Palace Road. <br /><br />- The buses moving from SBM junction towards K R Circle should move on Palace Road and proceed towards Basaveshwara Circle for their onward journey via High Grounds Police Station. These buses cannot ply on Dr Ambedkar Veedhi.<br /><br />- The buses heading towards Shivajinagar would move through Palace Road, Basaveshwara Circle, LRDE, GPO, Coffee Board and Shivajinagar. <br /><br />- Passengers who used to get down on the eastern side of the Vidhana Soudha should get down on its western side as Dr Ambedkar Veedhi will be out of bounds.<br /><br />- Traffic movement on Dr Ambedkar Veedhi from K R Circle towards GPO will be curtailed and vehicles will move on the new road in front of the Vidhana Soudha by taking a left curve before Gopala Gowda Circle. Buses would not be allowed to stop at any point on this stretch. <br /><br />Passengers can board the bus from the western gate of the Vidhana Soudha. <br /><br />- Motorists going to the High Court should take a right turn at Gopala Gowda Junction. <br />Closure at South End Circle<br /><br />Pillar installing work at South End Circle will begin shortly. It will take nearly 90 days for the work to complete. <br /><br />The police will divert buses on the stretch as construction materials will occupy a lot of space on the road, making it congested. <br /><br />Private buses will not be allowed to ply on Patalamma Road, Nittur Srinivas Rao Road (South End Road) and Ane Bande towards South End Circle. <br /><br />These buses will have to take K R Road, Jayanagar 9th Main Road and T Mariyappa Road.<br /></p>
