HC summons former Home secretary

Govindappa and 44 others had filed a contempt petition against the state government for not implementing the High Court dated April 28, 2010 directing to consider their request for sites.

The Division Bench comprising J S Khehar and Justice A S Bopanna asked both to appear before the court and directed to look into availability of sites.

Cash reward

Then government had announched cash reward and sites to each of the over 700-member STF.

As the promised was not honoured, Govindappa and others approached the High Court.

Justice Ajit Gunjal allowed the petition directing the government to consider the plea. Since the direction was not complied, five personnel filed a contempt petition.
