JOIN USAccording to police, Vijay Kumar alias Yesu Padam pleaded with the police to let off four other suspects - Harish, Rajesh, Shiva Kumar and Arun. He reportedly told the police that the four were only working for him and were not involved in the offence.
Arun, the minor suspect, is likely to be sent to the juvenile home. Police have also taken BBMP Junior Executive Engineer Srinivas, who had introduced Murthy to Yesu Padam, into custody for questioning. They have also been digging into Murthy’s past and his transactions to ascertain the cause for disagreement between him and Yesu Padam.
At 11.45 pm on Thursday, Murthy’s body was brought from Tamil Nadu to his house in Mathikere. His mortal remains were consigned to flames at the electric crematorium in Hebbal on Friday afternoon.
