The Chief Minister was campaigning in the district early in the morning. Later in the evening he was scheduled to take part in a public meeting organised at the Government Pre-University College premises in Banavara. As Minister V Somanna invited Yeddyurappa to inaugurate the programme, a stone was hurled at the chief minister.
An unfazed Chief Mnister said he would not be bogged down by such instances. He said the district is known for ‘goonda politics’ and people should give a befitting reply to the act by voting BJP to power.
