'Demolitions as per SC order'

Speaking to reporters, he said unauthorised structures causing public nuisance were being demolished as per the Supreme Court order.

“Efforts are underway to ensure that people’s sentiments are not hurt while implementing the SC order,” he said. Also proper records are being created for old structures that do not inconvenience the public, he added.

The State government had filed an affidavit before the apex court seeking action against unauthorised places of worship by November this year. However, the government has sought more time to implement the court order,  added the minister.
