JOIN USTwo unidentified men barged into the house of Krishnaveni, Anand and Subhash for robbery. When Krishnaveni resisted, the intruders assaulted all the three with knife. They snatched the gold chain of Krishnaveni and fled on a bike. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital, police said.
Brown sugar seized
The Women and Narcotics Squad of the Central Crime Branch on Saturday seized 60 gm brown sugar by arresting a Tannery Road resident. Syed Asgar used to sell the contraband stuffed in cigarettes for Rs 500 apiece, police said. He started the business 10 years ago and was arrested for the offence in 2004.
Delivery boy assaulted
A delivery boy was allegedly assaulted by a motorcyclist at Bhadrappa Layout circle near Hebbal on Friday noon.
Shivakumar, the victim, is said to have jumped traffic signal and the motorcyclist thrashed him black and blue. An angry Shivakumar, mistook the assailant in khaki attire for a policeman and held up the traffic for a while before the police intervened. According to Basha Sab, ACP (Traffic North East), the case was of a mistaken identity.
