Last Updated 28 December 2010, 16:37 IST

Addressing reporters, DCC President Sachin Meega said that they have filed a complaint to the Election Commission with regard to the allegation. “They depict Central schemes as State government’s achievements through advertisements. We had sought information regarding the issue under the RTI Act from the Election Media Monitoring Committee through the Information Department. The complaint has been filed with the Election Commission since the Committee failed to provide information,” he added.

The Election Commission has directed the officials to conduct inquiry into the allegation and to take necessary action, he said adding that the Election Commission also asked the officials to submit a report within 48 hours.“It is a clear violation of code of conduct. We will approach the court if justice was denied from the Election Commission,” Meega asserted.
