The Malleswaram police had said that the suspects attacked Govindaraju on June 21 near the Halli Mane Hotel in Malleswaram. A Kumar alias Bayappa of Swathanthryapalya, S Babu alias Vandre of Kempapura Agrahara, M Vinod alias from Adam village near Chennai, Lingaraju Nithyanandam of M G R Nagar in Chennai and D Gopi alias A G S Gopi were arrested in connection with the incident.
