Held over a span of two days, the chief guest for the event was superstar Upendra, an alumni of the college. Undoubtedly, he was the cynosure of all eyes. With students giving their best performances, it was time for hidden talents to take the spotlight. The girls were seen in colourful saris while the boys wore jeans, casuals and formals for the day.

Various programmes were organised to keep the spirit of the day going. Upendra was happy to be a part of the festivities and went on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. “I was just an average student and perhaps the most notorious one in my batch. I never thought I would taste success to this extent. What matters in life is passion and if you follow your dream, nothing is impossible,” he said while addressing the students. He also entertained the crowd with some of his famous dialogues.

The first day saw a fashion show and some vocal and instrumental performances. The day started with different genres of music like light, folk, film and devotional being rendered by the students. This was followed by a fashion show where the first and final year students walked the ramp in ethnic wear. Some of the boys wore sherwani and Western wear for the show. The first day was a grand success and the students also got an opportunity to dance with Upendra.

The second day saw some more display of talent. A bharatanatyam performance by Lavanya, a student of B Com, received loud cheers followed by solo recitals in fusion and Bollywood style dance by other students. A special musical skit was dedicated to the final year students by the juniors and received a huge round of applause.

The last day also had a special surprise in store for the students as actor Yash walked in to the college. There was no end to the cheers and joyous screams of the students. The Talents Day culminated with a group dance by the Aayu team of the final year, who danced to some peppy numbers on stage.

Madhavi, a student of B Com, was elated. “Talents Day is an occasion for us to explore new opportunities and present the best of our skills. It also helps us learn a lot of new things in the process and gives us some indelible memories that we can cherish forever,” she said.
