Doctors said the people fell sick after having food at a wedding at Somwarpet on the night of January 30. While eight people, including the bride were hospitalised at Madikeri, 54 others were admitted to a hospital at Somwarpet, sources said.
Doctors at the hospitals said the condition of those hospitalised is stated to be out of danger.
