'Peeta property is in land grabbers' hand'

Hosadurga Chinmooladri Shilapuri Samsthanam Bhagiratha Peetha Jagadguru Purushothamanandapuri alleged that some vested interest people are trying to grab the property of Omkarashrama under the Bhagiratha Peetha worth crore of Rupees.

Speaking at a religious meet after inaugurating the newly built Shri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple near here, he said that the issue has been brought to the notice of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Expressing faith in the government, he said that the government would take initiative to reclaim the property back to Bhagiratha Peetha.

Steps assured

MLA D S Suresh said that the issue will be discussed with the leaders of Uppara Community and later will urge the government to intervene.

Namadevananda Pur Bharathi Swamy of Gondi Panduranga Sadhakashrama presided over the religious meet. Zilla panchayat member Shanthaveerappa and former Town Municipality president T R Krishnamoorthi were present.
