<p>If veteran BJP leader L K Advani mounted a vitriolic attack on the prime minister at a rally here at the Sahid Minar, blaming his “innate weakness” as the main cause behind a slew of scams popping up before the Congress-led UPA government, party spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman maintained that the BJP “certainly expects him to talk on the three issues (2G, S-band and black money).<br /><br />Going a step further, Opposition Leader in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley sought a clarification on the alleged tapping of over one lakh telephones across the country, describing it as a “cause of grave concern”.<br /><br />As the saffron brigade concluded its “Navjagran Yatra” with the rally and a brain-storming session that was attended by top leaders across the country, the BJP leadership decided to step up the heat on Singh.<br /><br />The first to train the salvo at the prime minister was Advani who, besides demanding a JPC each for the alleged scams involving the Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Housing Society, attacked Singh as being the “weakest prime minister” he had ever seen in India.<br />“I have not seen so weak a prime minister in the country ever. It is only but natural that a weak PM can hardly initiate action against corruption and black money,” he said</p>
