Last chance today to furnish RR nos, ration card details

The Food and Civil Supplies department has decided not to extend the deadline.
The distributors will be directed not to issue the refill cylinders to all those who have not furnished the details, department Secretary B A Harish Gowda said.

“Nearly 70 per cent of LPG consumers (domestic) have so far furnished the details across the State. The department will complete the data entry work in a week’s time.

Then, the process of identifying and weeding out bogus LPG connections and ration cards will be taken up.”

Soon after the data entry work is completed, the department will publish the list of people who have not furnished the details. The list will be put up on the notice boards of all LPG distributors and the department website, he said.

“Such people (those who have not furnished the details) should contact the local Food and Civil Supplies department office, furnish the details and get a clearance certificate to get the refill cylinder,” he added.

New ration cards

The department is likely to start processing applications seeking new ration cards (above poverty line) on March 10.

The process has been temporarily stopped in view of the drive to identify bogus LPG connections and ration cards, official sources said.
