The Prerana Educational and Social Trust, incorporated in 2006 received donations in 2008-09 and 2009-10 from various persons and firms, Kumaraswamy alleged.

The Trust was formed by B S Raghavendra, son of Yeddyurappa, while its other trustees are B Y Vijayendra, another son of the CM, B M Jayashankar, Prof Doreswamy and Jawahar.

“The sons of the CM by rendering official favours to the donors had collected huge donations,” said Kumaraswamy who has been persistently targeting Yeddyurappa on charges of corruption and nepotism.

Kumaraswamy alleged, as he released documents, that the state government favoured firms and people who have made donations. The Trust had also received donation of Rs 50 lakh from founder B Y Raghavendra, who is a BJP MP. B Y Vijayendra has donated Rs 10 lakh, he alleged.

Flanked by Left Front leaders A B Bardhan and D Raja (CPI), Sitaram Yachury (CPM), Shivamalai (AIADMK), Namo Nageshwara Rao (TDP) and others, Kumaraswamy said the BJP top brass should look at the misuse of power by the CM before giving him a clean chit. The leaders said they would raise the issue in Parliament during the ongoing Budget session.

According to Kumaraswamy, the Trust has received money from Adarsh Developers (Rs 1.37 crore), Institutional Techno Manpower Services Ltd (ITMS) (Rs 3.40 crore), Jai Bharath Technical (Private Limited (Rs 3.40 crore), B M Jaishankar Managing Director, Adarsh Developers ( Rs 4.30 crore), Professor Jawahar (Rs 50 lakh), Real Technical Solutions ( Rs 3.20 crore), South West Mining Limited (Rs 10 crore), B Y Vijayendra (Rs 10 lakh), Kumaraswamy claimed.
