AIISH Aawaaz 2011 transcends campus

‘AIISH Aawaaz 2011’ the much awaited three-day event of the year began with a bang on Friday, that was enhanced by actor ‘Lovely Star’ Prem. He not only decorated the dais along with other dignitaries of the day, but also retraced his popular steps dancing along with a bunch of students for ‘Koorak Kukkralli kere...’ a chartbuster from his runaway hit ‘Nenapirali’. Keerthi Prasad and troupe, who shook legs along with Prem, danced for a medley of songs like- Jackie Jackie among others, enough to make the evening all the more charged up. The crowd went berserk renting whistles to air, encouraging their friends who were performing.

Ranjani and troupe presented a classical dance, for an auspicious start of cultural programmes of the evening. It was followed by a western item, with the college lad Narendranath setting the stage on fire, with his break-dance.  Kuppuraj and troupe, brought the rustic dance of Tamil Nadu alive.

Earlier, in his address Prem gave a clarion call for the young denizens to love everybody. Smitten  by the femme fatales in the gathering, Prem reiterated his popular dialogue from ‘Nenapirali’- Mysore hudgir chenda... (Mysore girls are beautiful) to a thunderous applause. His call on love, got takers, with a group of students announcing that they would follow it without fail.  

On the other hand, the second day of ‘Vidyuth 2011’ at Vidhyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) ended with a touch of fashion, with the students walking the ramp to the cheering crowd.

Dressed in colourful attires emblazoned with glint of creativity, the young models seemed to give professionals a run for their money.
